This stunning #Chardonnay from @grgichhills was an absolutely beautiful addition to our #fridaynight this past #weekend. 🍷🍷🍷 Made with organic grapes that undergo no malolactic fermentation, the wine stays crisp and fresh with citrus, floral and stone fruit notes. Oak aging in a combination of new and neutral barrels and foudres gives the wine depth and complexity with a lingering finish. 🍷🍷🍷 It is impossible to talk about Milenjko Grgich without noting that he was the winemaker at Chateau Montelena in 1973 - the man behind the wine that won against Burgundy wines in a 1976 blind tasting now commonly referred to as the Judgement of Paris, forever changing the course of Napa Valley and California #wine. 🍷🍷🍷 Miljenko Grgich and Austin Hills began the Grgich Hills label in 1977 and have crafted beautiful wines ever since. ### #napavalley #CaliforniaWineMonth #winehistory #winewriter #wineblogger #winelover #YouCanSipWithUs
