I am headed to Walla Walla, Washington for the 11th Annual Wine Bloggers Conference and to say I’m a little excited would be an understatement!
I love Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon but I have never been to Washington and I am really looking forward to discovering so much more about the region and its wines.
Walla Walla is in the south eastern portion of Washington, bordering Oregon. The area is part of the larger Columbia Valley AVA, which includes several smaller sub-regions including the Yakima Valley AVA and Red Mountain AVA, the two that I will be exploring in a pre- and post-conference excursions.
The conference itself takes place in Walla Walla and my days are scheduled with nonstop educational sessions broken up by wine tasting opportunities! The evenings include wine dinners hosted by local wineries.
I am sure I will have a lot to write about upon my return but my excitement has me wanting to share what’s in store! You can follow the social media chatter next week with #WBC18.
Cheers!
